In 1967, with the help of local man Jack Gurteen, a group of Pine Rivers State High School students, who enjoyed kicking a ball around at lunch, organised a game against Redcliffe City U14 team at Redcliffe. Pine RIvers won 5-3 and a club was born. The current clubhouse was built in 1978.
Pine Rivers Athletic Football Club is a 'not for profit' club, run by members, providing the local community opportunities: to participate in a healthy lifestyle; to develop sporting skills and social networks; and to compete and excel athletically all within a safe, supportive and respectful environment.
